Another one bites the dust.

So I was attempting to upgrade my second computer (dedicated for running the MythTV recording backend) using the parts upgraded from my main computer. Lo and behold, I get everything hooked up and nothing.. no POST (ever wonder what that means in computer-geek land?), no fans, no beeping, just the green light on the motherboard showing it has some kind of power. I got a simple power supply tester, and it claims everything is okay there. So it’s either the motherboard or some weird combination of case+power+motherboard. It’s times like these when I absolutely love computers. Infernal contraptions…. Update: It decided to work. Inconsistency is more annoying than malfunction, but hey… MythTV works again…

    Well good to hear you got it working. I remember one time i had a computer that did something similar and i still to this day dont know what was wrong…all i did was take it apart and put it back together…and then boom it started working again!
